Integrated Patient Summary and Integrated Electronic Health Record in St. Petersburg
There was formulated a task to create a patient summary, which would be not only a form of presenting the most
important medical facts, but also, at the same time, a means of navigating the entire electronic medical chart of the patient. A solution to the problem based on the creation of a list of diseases of the patient. A first approximation of such a solution is proposed – the creation of a list of diagnoses; the limitations of this approach are described. The result of the implementation of the proposed solution in the regional information system of St. Petersburg in 2018 is described. -
Maximus Intellectual Information and Analytical System for Medicine and Healthcare

It justifies the importance of automating the data collection, starting from the diagnosis and treatment process to the middle and upper levels of analysis and reporting. Article presents a line of business intelligence software services and decision support systems – process control center, visual analyzer of DTP parameters and reporting system, analytical patient registry, diagnostic machine, causal patient model, diagnostic and treatment programs, etc., using the nephrology service with hemodialysis, treatment of complications and associated diseases as an example.
The architecture of presented system is service oriented and multiplatform. Article also describes the structures of Maximus BI and DSS subsystems, as well as the architecture of one of the main services – diagnostic and treatment programs. Article shows modern information technologies for managing business processes used in the system, as well as selected user interfaces and solutions. -
Benchmarking for assessing the quality of digitization of radiology departments: methodology development
Basing on the “Digital Imaging Adoption Model (DIAM)”, systematized international and own practical experience, there
was developed a tool for benchmarking the level of digitization of radiology departments. The tool includes: 1) a reference “Medviz” maturity model of medical imaging digitization; 2) a basic methodological document (unified five-level digitalization strategy); 3) a digitization degree assessment tool; 4) a structured set of applications. In process of benchmarking, radiology departments are classified in accordance with the author’s Medviz model. Following the established level, a special set of recommendations is formed as basis for further managerial decisions. The methodology was successfully tested by us in five medical centers of the Department of Healthcare of Moscow. The development is applicable for complex studies of IT support of medical centers. -
Automated system of bacterioscopic diagnosis of tuberculosis
The article describes the scheme of work and requirements for software and hardware complex for automated bacterioscopic diagnosis of tuberculosis. The basic functionality of the hardware of such an automated system and the required capabilities provided by its software are listed. The stages of automated analysis of digital microscopic images of sputum stained by the method of Ziehl-Nielsen are presented. Own algorithms and mathematical models which can be included in such hardware software complex are presented.

Prediction of development of inflammatory complications in patients with an urolithiasis in the postoperative period
It is developed diagnostically – the prognostic way of assessment of risk of development of inflammatory complications
of the postoperative period in patients with an urolithiasis based on results of prospektivny inspection of 1240 patients. When carrying out the multiple-factor analysis the following markers influencing development of complications in the postoperative period were revealed: SOE, LII level, index of an albumin, expressiveness of a proteinuria and leukocyturia, existence of signs of system inflammatory reaction, violation of an urodinamika and hydronephrosis. Points which during conducting diagnostic testings summarized were appropriated to these signs. On the basis of an original way the computer program having high diagnostic value is created. -
Capabilities of «Big Data» technologies in medicine
The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of using the «Big Data» technology in medicine. The scope of this
technology has been analyzed in detail. On the example of the history of development and experience the «Big Data» technology in Europe and Russia and early diagnostics of oncological diseases by compiling genomic databases, that include the genetic information of each individual patient, its advantages, and disclosed opportunities for treatment are determined. Special attention is paid to the prospects of the development of «Big Data» technology in medicine and healthcare. The potential of analytical technologies in the epidemiological surveillance was also noted. -
Medical Decision Support System for Ultrasound Protocol Formation
A clinical decision support system is proposed, which allows forming an ultrasound protocol. The descriptive part of
the protocol is formed by the doctor by selecting from a database the ready-made phrases and sentences, which correspond to many features of the studied organ. The system recommends a conclusion based on a set of features using the decision rule. The doctor has the ability to adjust the study protocol in the system. As an example the formation of an ultrasound protocol for the liver is considered. The developed system has been successfully used for more than two years in various medical institutions in Russia. -
Project design portal teleservicing neurorehabilitation “Neyrodom”
The results of the project design of the information system for the remote rehabilitation of patients with neurological
deficit are presented. The field of research is a new direction in health care – telemedicine. The developed remote rehabilitation is the third outpatient stage of medical rehabilitation, including the necessary monitoring of rehabilitation procedures carried out at home. Software and technical implementation of interactive methods of rehabilitation, based on the author’s medical techniques.
